For residents of Washington and Nevada
Effective date: August 21, 2026. Version 1.0. Published by Rowan Digital LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company ("Rowan Digital," "we," "us"). This is a separate policy addressing consumer health data, published at its own link because Washington's My Health My Data Act calls for one. We publish it for your benefit and for clarity, and not as an admission that the Act or Nevada's consumer health data law applies to Rowan Digital. The headings below follow the categories those statutes list, so that you can see our answer to each one. Everything else about the app is in our general Privacy Policy.
The categories of consumer health data we collect, and how we collect it
None. Everything you record in Her Almanac, including cycle events, symptoms, moods, journal entries, medications, health conditions and records, and appointments, is created and stored only on your own device, encrypted. It is never transmitted to us. We operate no servers that hold it, there are no accounts, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or attribution software. We have no technical means of receiving, accessing, or recovering any of it.
The app makes one optional network feature available, and it operates only if you choose to use it. If you type a city name to theme the app's artwork, the app makes two requests to Open-Meteo, a weather service operated by OpenMeteo GmbH in Switzerland: one containing the city name you typed, and one containing the latitude and longitude Open-Meteo returns for it. Neither request contains health data of any kind, an account identifier, or a device identifier. The app does not request location permission. This is described in full in our general Privacy Policy.
The purposes for which we collect and use consumer health data
There are none, because we do not receive it. Your information exists on your device for the single purpose you put it there for, which is your own record.
The categories of sources from which consumer health data is collected
The only source is you. Everything in your record is information you typed or selected in the app yourself. We do not obtain consumer health data from any other source: not from data brokers, not from advertising or analytics networks, not from your phone's health platform, not from any other app, not from a health care provider, and not by inference from anything else. There is no integration through which such information could reach the app, and nothing the app holds is derived from any source other than your own entries.
The categories of consumer health data we share, and the categories of third parties and specific affiliates we share it with
None, and none. We do not share consumer health data with anyone, including any affiliate, processor, service provider, advertiser, analytics provider, or data broker. We have no affiliates. There is no third party of any kind that receives consumer health data from Her Almanac, because no consumer health data leaves your device.
How to exercise your rights
Washington and Nevada give you the right to confirm whether we collect, share, or sell your consumer health data, to obtain a list of the third parties we have shared or sold it to, to withdraw consent, and to have it deleted. We hold none of it, so there is nothing for us to confirm, produce, or delete, and no list of recipients to give you, because there are none.
Those rights are built into the app instead of into a request form. You can read everything you have recorded, export it, correct it, and permanently erase all of it at any time from within the app under Profile, then Privacy and Security, then Delete All My Data. You do not need to ask us, you do not need to wait for us, and you never have to create an account to exercise any right, because the app has no accounts at all.
If you would like written confirmation of any of this, or if you believe we have not honored something this policy says, write to us at hello@heralmanac.app, or ask us for a postal address and we will provide one promptly. We answer in writing, free of charge, within 45 days. If we need longer we will tell you why within those 45 days and take no more than 45 additional days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may appeal by replying and asking for an appeal, and we will tell you in writing within 45 days what we did or did not do and why. If we deny your appeal we will give you a way to contact the Washington Attorney General or the Nevada Attorney General to submit a complaint.
Selling consumer health data
We do not sell consumer health data and we will not. We have never done so, we have no mechanism by which we could, and we will not ask you to sign an authorization permitting it, because we do not intend ever to do it. If that ever changed, we would have to revise this policy, say so plainly, and obtain your valid authorization first.
Geofencing
We do not use geofencing. The app does not request or receive location permission of any kind. It has no ability to detect that you are near, entering, or leaving any location, including any facility that provides health care services.
Employees, contractors, and processors
Rowan Digital has no employees other than its owner, and no contractor or processor has access to consumer health data, because none exists outside your device.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes how it handles consumer health data, we will update this policy, change the effective date, describe the change plainly, and ask for your consent before the change applies to you. The core commitment, that your health data stays on your device, is the foundation of the product rather than a setting.
