The architecture
Private by architecture, not by promise
Most apps promise privacy in a policy. Her Almanac builds it into the machine. There is no account because there is no server. We operate no servers that hold your information, because your health story should not live on someone else's computer. What you record is encrypted on your phone with AES-256 and never transmitted, so there is nothing for anyone to breach, subpoena, or sell.
Here is the test we invite: put your phone in airplane mode. The whole almanac keeps working, because it never needed the internet to hold your story. There is no exception: the app makes no network connections at all, and it does not even hold the permission that would let it. There is no location permission in the app either. The skies follow the clock, and nothing else.

Her Almanac is built carefully, in the open, and shaped by its founding testers. It is out now on Google Play, and the iPhone version is with Apple for its final review.
